Google Cloud Next 2019 and this year’s other best cloud conferences

2019 is here and, soon, so will Google Cloud Next 2019 and the other best cloud conferences of the year. However, figuring out which conferences you should attend or sponsor isn’t easy. The stakes are high and you need to be sure that you’re committing your time and resources to the right events. This year, we here at AODocs are planning on going to more events than we ever have before. When we were searching for which conferences were right for us, we looked through a lot of different get-togethers and trade shows. Rather than keeping what we found to ourselves, we thought that it would be better to share it with people like you so you can save yourself some time.

So, without further adieu, here is the list of our favorite cloud conferences that you should attend in 2019. We’ve also put a note beside the events that we’re going to (so you can come and visit us).

Google Cloud Next 2019

AODocs at Google Cloud Next 2018

When? April 9-11, 2019
Where? San Francisco, USA

Google’s flagship three-day event is the must-attend conference of the year for those interested in anything related to Google Cloud and Google Cloud Platform. The 2018 conference included some big Google product announcements and over 500 breakout sessions that covered everything from business intelligence to security and machine learning. On top of that, there was also two days full of hands-on training sessions for developers. We don’t expect it to be any smaller this year. If you’re a Google Cloud customer or work with Google as a partner or developer, you should consider this as a mandatory event.

We’re obviously going since we’re one of Google’s recommended partner solutions for G Suite. Even better, we’ll have some great swag so stop by for a chat (and some free stuff) if you’re planning on attending!

If you're not sure which sessions to attend (or are looking to get a discount on registration), we have a complete guide to this year's Google Cloud Next and a discount code for you.

F8 2019

When? April 30 - May 1, 2019
Where? San Jose, USA

F8 is Facebook’s major conference for developers. Like last year’s event, this iteration of F8 promises to include a number of big updates and product unveilings. AODocs had a big F8 last year when we were announced as a Workplace by Facebook integration partner. So, it’s safe to say that we’re excited to be there again to see what’s in store this year. If you or your company work with Facebook, you should definitely add F8 to your list of conferences to attend in 2019.

Datacloud Global Congress

When? June 4-6, 2019
Where? Monaco

The DataCloud Global Congress one of the premier conferences for those working with data centers and cloud infrastructure. The Global Congress attracts industry leaders, investors, and customers (which provides you with plenty of networking opportunities) to Monaco to learn about the challenges facing the industry. If you work on the infrastructure side of cloud technologies, this is a conference that’s worth your consideration.

Cloud Expo

When? June 24-26, 2019
Where? Santa Clara, USA

As its name implies, the Cloud Expo covers everything to do with the cloud. With over 150 speakers from companies like Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Intel, and Accenture, the Cloud Expo will tackle everything from digital transformation to software development, machine learning, and data analytics. When you’re not busy listening to presenters, you’ll have the opportunity to chat with nearly 150 exhibitors.

Gartner Catalyst Conference

When? August 12-15, 2019
Where? San Diego, USA

Gartner’s Catalyst Conference aims to help attendees understand the latest technology trends and acquire the skills that they need to properly manage them. That’s something that we can get behind. The 2019 edition of the conference will cover the cloud, big data, data analytics, SaaS, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. Although it’s not confirmed just yet, we’d expect that this conference will once again give you the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Gartner analysts (so you can ask them some of your burning questions). It’s a nice added bonus on top of the already impressive lineup of speakers and workshops.

P.S. You can also check out their report on implementing G Suite on our website.

Web Summit

When? November 4-9, 2019
Where? Lisbon, Portugal

A cloud conference list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Web Summit, one of the biggest technology conferences in the world. This year’s event is expected to bring over 70,000 attendees to Lisbon to hear from speakers like Ev Williams (the founder of Medium), Tim Berners-Lee (the founder of the entire internet), Ben Silbermann (the CEO of Pinterest), and Alexis Ohanian (the co-founder of Reddit), amongst many others. Their exhibitor list is also filled with big names like Google, IBM, Mercedes, Amazon, and HSBC. Whether it’s the speakers or the exhibitors, it’s not hard to find a reason why to attend Web Summit.

KMWorld 2019

When? November 5-7, 2019
Where? Washington DC, USA

KMWorld brings the brightest minds in the knowledge and information management industries together in Washington DC to exchange ideas, receive practical advice, and learn from thought leaders at in-depth training sessions. For those in the knowledge management field, this conference will help you learn how other organizations are tackling the disruptive changes in knowledge management with future-focused knowledge sharing strategies.

Google Cloud Next London 2019

AODocs at Google Cloud Next London

When? November 17-19, 2019
Where? London, UK

If you’re not able to make the trek to San Francisco for Google Cloud Next, you have another opportunity to discover all of Google’s latest updates in Google Cloud Next London. While we don’t have an official confirmed start date for this conference yet, it’s probably going to happen between November 17-19 . Much like its sister conference in San Francisco, Cloud Next London will feature breakout sessions, product announcements, case studies, and, of course, AODocs. Surprise, surprise, we’ll be here as well. So, be sure to stop by!

Google Cloud Summits

When? Throughout the Year
Where? Worldwide

If you’re not going to be able to make the trip to one of the Google Cloud Next conferences in San Francisco or London, don’t worry. Google will be hosting Google Cloud Summit events in cities all around the world throughout 2019.
